Summary

The main aim of project is to evaluate the existing Czech and foreign knowledge on the cultivation of selected minority crops, assess the major problems, test suitable foreign technologies in Czech conditions and suggest and test the most important cultivation technologies of minority crops. The methods developed will reflect the principles of integrated pest management, emphasising the use of environmentally friendly methods of protection against pests, diseases and weeds. New cultivation methods will be certificated for the seeds of selected minority crops that eliminate unfavourable climatic conditions and the associated global changes in biosphere. The focus will also be on optimising the nutrition of minority crops and harvesting without use of prohibited desiccants.
