Project summary: Project will contribute to climate neutrality with development of agriculture-related solutions for capturing CO2 from the air and deploying it into the soil. This will be done by introduction and uptake of “carbon farming” practices, business models, monitoring solutions and policies for storing GHC as soil organic carbon (SOC). Project will result in enhanced role of agricultural sector to reduction of greenhouse emissions and contribution to climate neutrality of Central Europe.

Open call for participation on carbon farming business models
Following our experience and our current work on the Carbon Farming CE project, we invite stakeholders from various interest groups (farmers, advisors, researchers, agrobusiness representatives...) to participate on development, spreading and practical implementation of the carbon farming methods into agricultural practice in Czech Republic and other pinvolved european countries and regions.
In the scope of our project, the project consortium have developed several business/cooperation models. These models, bringing together relevant stakeholder across the agricultural sector, aim to initiate and support the transformation of conventional argiculture into carbon farming - a sustainable, climate-friendly and climate change-resistant alternative.
Our model ("Knowledge transfer" scenario) is based on the idea of effective transfer of knowledge and experience gained from the field experiments to the farmers, and counts on including the farmers themselves into the next steps of field testing and optimization. At the same time, we aim to support the partner farmers in their efforts to switch to carbon farming with counselling and consultations, as well as with providing them with necessary and beneficial services or components.

🌱 Carbon Farming CE: How Regenerative Agriculture is Transforming Central Europe 🌱
Agricultural Research Ltd., together with partners from 9 Central European countries and 11 research institutions, is working intensively on innovative solutions in carbon farming. Our goal is to test and implement methods that increase carbon sequestration in soils while benefiting both farmers and the environment.
